Umbwe Route : (5 days on Trek)

Day 1: Arrival meets and transfers to hotel – dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 2: After breakfast transfer to Umbwe National Park gate for starting the climb. For here hike within the forest through a narrow ridge between Umbwe and Lonzo rivers, reaching Bivouac No.1 (known as forest caves) at 2850m full board camping overnight.

Day 3: The path continues following the ridge then leaving the forest through open moorlands to reach Barranco Hut at 3950m. Full board camping overnight stay.

Day 4: The day start off with a steep climb out of Barranco valley crossing Karanga valley at 4100 m and finally reaching Barafu Hut at 4600 m full board camping overnight.

Day 5: Early morning start to reach the crater rim at Stella point continuing to Uhuru Peak at 5895m. Descend to Mweka Hut full board overnight.

Day 6: The day is spent in descending down to the park Gates, meet and transfer to hotel with bed/ breakfast.

Day 7: Transfer to Airport or safari or the Coast/ beaches.
