Mwanza is the second largest city in Tanzania after Dar es Salaam, a very important port city on Lake Victoria and terminal branch of the central railway line from Dar es Salaam also home for the Nile peach.

It is an episode town on the shores of the lake whose surrounding countryside is littered with large and very large natural igneous rocks or outcrops perched precariously on top of each other.
