Mbeya Region:

Is set in the lush and fertile part of eastern Tanzania, at 1737masl, this town has population of about 500,000. It is only 114km from Zambia border being the last main station on the TAZARA railway before the border.

Kalambo Falls; the Falls found close to the border with Zambia, near the tip of Lake Tanganyika, which 215 meters drop makes it one of the highest water falls in the world, after Tugela falls in South Africa, the second highest in Africa.

Mbozi Meteorite; A 15 tones of Iron monolith located southwest of Mbeya, discovered 1942, which is the third largest meteorite ever found, which is sited 10kms away from the highway to Zambia, visit also Ngozi Crater ;

The Ngozi Crater Lake is located south of Mbeya town, the crater rim is at 2,200meters and the lake lies 200 meters lower from up there, quiet a steep affairs. Mountain Kaluwa; is on the north of the town, that rise at 2656masl.

Mbeya Peak; Mbeya peak rises at 2826masl, which is the highest peak in the Mbeya range at the distance of 100meters north of the town. Two possible routes can reach the peak, where one is harder than the other.

Pungulume; Pungulume Mountain 230m is at the west end of the range, should this trekking be avoided during wet season.
