Marangu Route (6 days on Trek)

Day 1: Arrival – transfer to hotel – dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Kilimanjaro National Park gate start to climb walking through the main forest to Mandara Hut lying at 9000ft (2700m) full board stay overnight.

Day 3: Leave the glades of forest and follow the ascending path on the moorlands to Horombo Hut at 12,000ft (3700m) full board stay overnight.

Day 4: You continue walking towards east up to the junction turn south to the glacier streams where Barranco Hut is situated at 13,000ft (3900m) full board camping stay overnight.

Day 5: From here you walk down up to the junction where you ascend up to the uniport Hut at 15,500ft (4600m) full board, camping overnight stay.

Day 6: Early start for summit Uhuru Peak the highest point in Africa at 19340ft(5895m) from here you descend to Mweka Hut at (3,000m) full board camping.

Day 7: The day spent descending to the Mweka gate, meet and transfer to hotel with bed/breakfast.

Day 8: Transfer to Airport or Safari.
