Lindi Region:

The port town of lindi, is south-western Tanzania, was the final stop for slave caravan. Founded in the 18 th as a caravan terminal on the slave and ivory route from Lake Nyasa.

During the heyday of the Zanzibar sultans. In 1909, a team of German paleontologists Unearthed the remains of several dinosaur bones in Tendanguruit is 465 km away from Dar es Salaam via Kilwa.

Tendanguru: - Is one of the attractions in the area located 110 km northwest of Lindi where the remains of a complete Dinocerous were found in 1912, which certain the richest deposit of late Jurassic fossils in Africa, and the site were discovered by a German naming Engineer, Bernhard Sattler in 1907.
